These RewardX & Merchant Terms summarise the basis on which merchants join the Jawali RewardX network and accept loyalty-point redemptions. They are a plain-language summary; the binding terms are those in the signed merchant agreement provided at onboarding.
RewardX lets a customer redeem consolidated loyalty points at a participating merchant. The merchant supplies goods or services; Jawali acts as clearing agent, collecting from the point-issuing programme and settling the merchant in cash, less an agreed merchant discount.
To join, a merchant must provide business registration, the owner’s identification, and a bank account in the business name. Jawali runs know-your-business checks before an account is opened. Settlement is only ever made to a verified account in the business name.
Each merchant’s tier, discount rate and settlement cycle are set by throughput and confirmed in writing at onboarding. Rates and cycles shown on the Site are indicative. Settlement of the net amount is made to the verified account on the agreed cycle.
Redemptions are authorised in real time against the customer’s live balance and cannot be pre-authorised or replayed. Returns and disputed transactions unwind cleanly: value is re-credited to the originating programme, settlement is reclaimed, and commission is reversed in proportion. A fixed dispute window applies, after which a redemption is final.
The merchant app runs on merchant-controlled devices only, with two-factor authentication on the owner login, device binding, role separation between owner and cashier, protected bank-detail changes, and a full audit trail. Balances are never stored on the handset.
RewardX launches on direct real-time redemption. Wider coverage, tiered rates and next-day settlement follow as controls are proven. Points-to-voucher issuance is a later, regulated phase introduced only once the required Central Bank authorisation and safeguarded trust arrangements are in place. Nothing on the Site should be read as offering a regulated stored-value product before that point.
Guarantees, tiers, discount rates and settlement commitments are as set out in the signed merchant agreement. Descriptions on the Site are indicative and do not themselves create a commitment. Liability is governed by that agreement and applicable law.
